The Pikes Peak Hill Climb is a rather unique type of car race in the mountains of Colorado, USA. It's exciting, tough and dangerous, and in 1987, two-time world rally champion Walter Roehrl took his Audi Sport Quattro S1 to the top.

The 1995 Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft was exciting, tough and thrilling, with a strong international competition. Despite this great challenge, Mercedes driver Bernd Schneider dominated the race and won the title.
The year 1952 saw several premieres at the legendary 24-hour endurance race of Le Mans. After 22 years Mercedes-Benz returned to the famous circuit, and Ferrari started to use factory works team cars for the first time.
In 1983 Audi introduced the Quattro 4x4 drive to the rally world, adding a new dimension to rally racing. The races became tougher and more brutal. The strain on drivers, vehicles and mechanics alike was extremely intense.

Germany's Nuerburgring is one of the world's classic race circuits. In 1983, the historic 22 kilometre track was shortened to a more modern, clinical 4.5 kilometres, and in 1984, the first 1,000 kilometre race took place at the "new Nuerburgring".
